Double Hit In Pickleball

In pickleball, a double hit occurs when the ball is struck twice in a single swing. According to the official rules, a double hit is legal if it happens in one continuous motion and is not intentional. This means that if the ball accidentally makes contact with the paddle twice during a single stroke, it is allowed. However, if the player deliberately hits the ball twice or takes two separate swings, it is a fault.

Rule 11.A - Double Hits

"Balls can be hit twice, but this must occur during a continuous, single-direction stroke by one player. If the ball is intentionally hit twice or if there is a distinct second swing, it results in a fault."
